Lauren Ledon is an undergraduate student at the University of Miami. She is a predental student majoring in Microbiology and Immunology with a minor in Chemistry. As a child of Cuban refugees, she has understood the struggles that immigrants have gone through accustoming to life in the United States. There are thousands of immigrants that are not provided proper healthcare and struggle with the economic burden of paying for expensive medical bills. When Paul approached her with the idea of this nonprofit, she was happy to be a part of something so great. Lauren wants to be able to give these children the eyecare services they need to ease their economic stress.
