PAUL LEDON

Founder/President

Paul Ledon is an undergraduate student at the University of Miami. He is a premed student majoring in Microbiology and Immunology with two minors in Chemistry and Health Sector Management and Policy and a member of the Health Professions Mentoring Program. His parents are Cuban refugees. When the first wave of family members immigrated to the United States in the 1990s, life was rough. They had no money or work; all 8 of them lived in a small apartment for years and none of them knew English. There are thousands just like his family who are still trying to accustom and succeed in the U.S. Their children are not provided with the same medical treatment as others. Paul’s goal is to provide for proper eyecare services, eyeglasses and supplies for underprivileged children who struggle with vision impairment.
